HI! I’M STUART MCINTYRE, AN ASTROPHOTOGRAPHER FROM SCOTLAND.

For me, astrophotography started out as a hobby. It quickly turned into my passion, and a few years down the line I’d say we’re at the obsession stage.

Shooting the night sky framed by the most gorgeous Scottish landscapes: it goes beyond a hobby. It’s a grand adventure. Bound By Starlight exists because I love climbing hills, wading lochs and scrambling across mountains underneath the starry skies.

This is what makes me feel alive, and I try to capture stunning photographs to share that feeling. I know many of us wouldn’t dream of venturing into the great outdoors in the wee small hours, so this is my attempt at bringing that majestic feeling to everyone.

I’ve been really lucky to have been successful in my endeavours so far. I was shortlisted in the 2016 Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year awards, and published in the BBC’s Sky at Night Magazine, among numerous other publications. I also love bringing my enthusiasm for astronomy and photography to the public through talks and workshops.
